On June 26, 2012, age 88 of Lincoln Place;

Edward was born in Willock, Pa the son o fthe late Jacob and “Betty” (Molk) Godec;

He was a retired welder for Homestead Electric and a U.S. Navy Sea Bees WW II Veteran;

Beloved husband of the late Bernadette (Mohrbach) Godec;

Cherished father of Mary Lou (Ron) Vernon, Betty Ann (Ken) Schwab and Edna Mae (Ed) Tozzi;

Grandfather of DeAnne (Tim) Chalus, James (Maria) Vernon, Kristie (Mark) Young, Kelly (Ben) Campbell, Kathleen (Karl) Mattern, Maggie (Matt) Anna, Brian Schwab, Jennifer (Rick) Pattinato, Mandy (Harvey) Sutton, Melanie (Matt) Coley, Melissa (Frank) Tozzi, Maria Tozzi and Edmond (Julie) Tozzi III;

Great - grandfather of Paul, Nathan, Shane and Emma Chalus, Gregory Washington, Ryan Young, Charlie and Owen Campbell, Tyler and Hunter Mattern, Allison Anna, Katelyn Pattinato, Desmond and Khalil Sutton, Ella Coley, Makayla and Aidan McShane, James Anderson and Talia and Giana Tozzi.

Preceded in death by his sister Clara Boarts and grandson Jeffrey Schwab;

Friends received Wednesday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394). Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 AM in St. Therese R.C. Church, Munhall.

I am sorry to have read of your dads passing. I always remember him in his blue work clothes and the special memories he had with your mom. I had never known that he was a U.S. Navy Sea Bees WW II Veteran. I am so sorry for your loss.
