It is difficult to accept the loss of a loved one and the emotional adjustment is complex. The funeral ceremony is the beginning of the healing process. We at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. will help you arrange a funeral that is a tribute to a life that was lived.

Our personal commitment to you does not end at the close of the service. We will explain and assist with filing of benefits that are available to your family. The George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. has been a member of the Order of the Golden Rule for 45 years. The Order of the Golden Rule is an international affiliation of funeral directors who offer service of proven high quality at reasonable prices.

We are prepared to handle all aspects of the funeral arrangements. We work closely with families and clergy of all faiths and are familiar with all religious services. We are also familiar with the policies and arrangements of the local cemeteries.

Striving to help our neighbors cope with the emotions of death, as emotions of death linger far after the loved one is buried, we have a library of books, brochures, audio and video tapes to help the members of our community deal with the loss of a loved one. In April of 1986, the Pittsburgh Press ran a feature story on the tours we provide for children to better help them understand death. We invite you to contact us for additional help.
