Age 97, of Whitaker, most recently of St. Barnabas in Gibsonia, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018, surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Adelaide, of 67 years, his daughters Jane (Ron) Miller and Karen (Mike) Kulak,
his grandchildren Andrew (Sarah), Meredith and Jordan, and a great-grandson Caleb. He was the youngest of 9 children.
Joe served in the Army Air Corps in England during WW II, and upon returning worked at US
Steel, Homestead Works as barge coordinator for 40 years. He will be remembered for his constant devotion to his family and friends. He was an active lifelong member of Whitaker United Methodist Church from serving on every committee, to painting every room in the church.
In his retirement years he made beautiful stained glass creations for family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends will be received at Whitaker U. M. Church, on Saturday, Dec 29 from 10 to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
