Agnes Patterson Hogg

Agnes C. Patterson Hogg of Munhall ended the final chapter of her life on November 6, 2018.  She really enjoyed her many years of living in Munhall as well as traveling to her Condo in Clearwater, FL.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Agnes B. Patterson, her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lea and Frank Snyder and her dear husband Charles Robert Hogg, Sr. Agnes was a devoted step-mother to Susan (Dan (deceased) Lucsko of Georgia, Amy (Bob) Deull of Georgia, Rev. Charles R. (Cindy) Hogg of Michigan and Megan (Gary) Topolosky of Pittsburgh.  She was the loving sister to Joan (Joseph) Shields, Janice (Maitland) Lebedda, Leo (Eileen) Patterson , Judith (Richard) Murray.  Also survived by 19 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, 8 step-grandchildren and 9 great step-grandchildren

Agnes graduated from Munhall High School where she participated on the rifle team and was an accomplished marksman as well as a state rifle champion.  She attended the University of Pittsburgh.  She was Past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, Organizer of the Munhall Women’s Club, Past President of the Homestead Hospital Cot Club, member of St. Therese Ladies of Charity and Senior Club, Past President of Brierly AARP #3801, Secretary/Treasurer of the GAR Memorial Day Assoc.  She was also secretary for the Munhall and Steel Valley School District, Agnes was a member and Secretary to the Munhall Borough Planning Commission.  She was the Organist at St. Therese Church for 43 years and employed as Financial Secretary at St. Therese for 70 years.  She was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Therese and for her outstanding service to her parish she received the Manifesting the Kingdom Award in 2006.

Friends received on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall 412-461-6394 Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Therese R.C. Church
