Alberta M. Asbury

Alberta M. (Deverson) Asbury passed away Tuesday April 29, 2025 at the age of 83. Preceded in death by her parents Albert and Mary Deverson, husband Edward, sister Marcy Cloherty (Tom), and sister-in-law Grace Schuetz (Bill).

Alberta is survived by her brother Bernie (Marion), son Ed (Beth), son Keith, daughter Dana (Bob), and granddaughters Hannah (Jeff), Amanda, and Faith along with nine nieces and nephews.

A retired Administrative Assistant from the University of Pittsburgh, Alberta was also a member of the Brierly Heights Woman’s Club and AARP for many years. Alberta also loved and enjoyed her many bowling leagues, going on bus trips, casino adventures, and various other interests. Most of all, Alberta enjoyed watching her granddaughters grow up into fine young adults. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family, friends, neighbors, and everyone who knew her.

Family and friends recieved Sunday, May 4, from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Hoem, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, (412-461-6394); where an AARP Service will take place on Sunday afternoon at 3 PM. A Blessing Service will be held  at the funeral home on Monday, May 5, at 11 AM with Sem. Xavier Engle officiating. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private.
