Anna Marie Sninsky, 83, of Munhall, died Monday, June 1, 2015. She was a daughter of the late William A.C. Jacko and Ann (Smoley) Jacko; beloved wife of the late Edward R. Sninsky; cherished mother of Robert, James, Maria and Ann (Sninsky) Rokicki; loving grandmother of Ryan and Matthew Rokicki; and sister of Theresa (Jacko) Mervis and the late Florence Jacko and William Jacko Jr. Her passion for creating art led her to studies at Carnegie Museum of Art. She was a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh for many years and served as the executive director for 10 years. Her work is in many private and public collections. Her work won many awards, one of which, "Romeo and Juliet," was chosen by the State Legislature and presented as a gift of the People of Pennsylvania to the President of France on his visit during our country's bicentennial. She was a founding member of the Steel Valley Arts Council and Friends of the Carnegie Library of Homestead, where she served on the first board of directors and as a grant writer for the library raising more than three million dollars for restoration. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Rita Roman Catholic Church, Munhall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rita Roman Catholic Church or the Carnegie Library of Homestead.
