Anthony Nicholas DeMartino Sr. (Tony De) age 85, formerly of Lincoln Place, went home to the Lord on July 27, 2021. He is proceeded in death by his wife Mary Grace DeMartino. He leaves behind his sons Anthony Jr. (Karen) and Leonard “Lenny” (Lori). His beloved grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Ashley, Aden, Lenny Jr. Luca and Emma.
Married to Margaret “Peggy” Collins Fusili in 2001, has three stepdaughters Kathy Bardi (Chris), Tricia Orr (Bryan) and Lisa McGovern (Billy); five step-grandchildren Ethan Curnow (Angelica), Ashley Curnow, Kyle McGovern, Colin McGovern (Emily) and Carley McGovern; two step great-grandchildren Cayden Curnow and Riley McGovern.
Tony was a dedicated employee of Harbison Walker, Sears and held bartending jobs at Playmor Bowl & the Duquesne Golf Club. In his retirement, he loved meeting people at the Maxi-Saver Theater, where he worked for many years. He was the guy who would give you the “shirt off his back”. Tony cared for everyone a true man’s man. A musician with the DelMonte Italian and the Letter Carriers band for over 70 years. He was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Parish in Hays, where he grew up. A proud member of the church choir and a faithful member of the Holy Name Society.
Tony was liked by everyone he met. We are all better for knowing him. Truly he will be missed.
Friends and family will be received at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc, 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120 (412.461.6394 ) on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 1 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 9:30 AM in Blessed Holy Trinity, Holy Angels Church in Hays.
