Anthony "Tony" Robert Zoroya

Anthony Robert Zoroya, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2024.

Tony was born on September 26, 1977, in Munhall, PA. He knew from a young age that he had a calling to help others. He joined the Munhall 5 Fire Department as a teenager and continued as an active member until moving out of the area. He also spent many years working at STATmedivac forming lifelong friendships and fueling his love for flying. In 2023 he joined the AHN Network and became the Facility Safety manager for West Penn Hospital.

Some of Tony’s proudest moments included completing an ironman, being a father to his daughter Salem, and becoming a state fire instructor. In 2019 he met his wife, Lisa, when he became her teacher. Tony also enjoyed building Legos, Playing hockey, and reenacting with his beloved 4th Maryland. He was a historical expert on military and American history and loved to visit Gettysburg where he proposed and married his wife.

Tony is preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Dukes, and his father, Ronald Zoroya. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, his daughter, Salem Barca-Zoroya (of Jaime), his brother, Dave Zoroya, his sister, Rhonda Purdy, his goddaughter, Abiageal Verbanick, godson, Xander McConnell, and many friends and family.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 5, from 1-7 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120, 412-461-6394; where a Fireman’s Service will be held at 7 PM.
