Barbara Jean Kosko

Born on May 20th, 1952, to Lois (Houck) and Casey Kosko, Barbara was their first child and a joyful, brown-haired girl.

Beloved sister of Richard (Patricia) Kosko, Patti (Gary) Schwartz , Jeffery Kosko, and her sister-in-law, Janet Kosko, wife of her late brother, Carl D. Kosko. Barbara was a cherished aunt of Tara, Richard, Chad, Ashley, Sara, Tyler, Carly and Megan as well as, great-nieces and nephews, and an adopted granddaughter, Jaiden Flint.

She pursued a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, starting at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Barbara worked in the Intensive Care Unit on the overnight shift before moving to the Rehabilitation floors. Her career spanned over two decades, during which she was known for providing exceptional care to many patients.

Barbara was also an avid gardener, with a green thumb for growing a variety of vegetables that her mother, the greatest cook in the world, used in her culinary creations.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lois Kosko, and her brother, Carl D. Kosko.

In her final years, Barbara was cared for by the compassionate caregivers at Fair Oaks Senior Living.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, March 27th, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA (412.461.6394) where a Funeral Service will be held the following morning, Friday, March 28, at 10 AM with Pastor Jeff Lukacs.
