Bernard "Zack" Zadrowski age 82, passed away on July 19, 2025 after a year long battle with cancer.
He was born to Bronislaw and Marie (Gwarek) in Pittsburgh. He was the youngest and last surviving child of 8.
Bernard joined the U.S. Army in 1961 where he served in the 611th ordinance group. When he returned to Pittsburgh he worked for J&L Steel and up until 2 years ago was a Banquet Bartender working for UNITE H.E.R.E Union working at several different hotels and bars.
Zack lived life to the fullest! He loved being with his friends, traveling (especially family vacations), going to Vegas and hanging at the Rivers Casino but most of all he loved being with his family wherever that may be.
He was proud of ALL of their accomplishments. He was recently released from the rehab hospital so he could travel to Colorado Springs to see his grandson graduate from the United States Air Force Academy.
Zack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Josephine. His daughter Marie Angela (Mo) of Colorado Springs, son Bernard (Shannan) of Las Vegas, NV, daughter Christy of Colorado Springs, and son Bill (Trisha) Best of Pittsburgh. He had 10 grandchildren, Brian, Michelle, Steven, Maddie, Will, Dillon, Ava, Anthony, Kaylee and Logan, 4 great grandchildren, Zeriean,Isabella, Emily and Lucas. Zack is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Divine Liturgy will be held August 8, 2025 at 11:30 AM in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cathedral, 210 Greentree Rd, Munhall, PA. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA. All arrangements have been handled by the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., in Munhall.
