Carol J. Gurley

Carol J (Boot) Gurley, age 86, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, Hazelwood and West Mifflin, died on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Mignon Boot and wife of the late Ray Gurley Jr. She worked in banking, tax preparation and bookkeeping for several small businesses until her retirement. She was active in her church and her children's school and extracurricular activities. She enjoyed playing the piano and caring for her beloved cat, Smokey.

Survivors include her children, Pamela (Gregory) Popovich and Karin (Gary) Hensley, grandson Stephen Popovich, brothers Jack (Betty) Boot Jr. and Timm (Sandy) Boot, sister-in-law Dottie Rose, nieces, nephews and friends. Her church family at Hazelwood Christian Church was also dear to her.

Friends received on Friday, June 12 from 6-8 PM and on Saturday, June 13 from 10am till time of the funeral service at 11am at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA  15120.
