Carol A. Heh

On December 29, 2022, Carol Heh, age 75, went to be with the Lord.  She is preceded in death by her parents Bernard and Janet (Schotting) Benson; husband Robert; and brothers Bill and Pete.  She is survived by her brother Tommy and sister-in-law Lindy; sister Karen; and sister Mary and brother-in law Paul.  Carol was a loving mother to Joe; Pete and daughter-in-law Larimee; Bill; and grandmother to Danna, Trenton, and Walker.  

Carol was a cake artist who was known to make an amazing variety of cake creations.  Her passion for baking cookies was always a hit at any Pittsburgh cookie table and holiday event.  When she wasn’t baking, Carol enjoyed spending time with family and playing softball well after her 60^th birthday.  

She was the epitome of a fighter to the end by beating cancer and living and active lifestyle after being blessed with an organ transplant.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Center for Organ Recover and Education (CORE).  One of her proudest moments was getting to represent organ donors and CORE by throwing out the honorary first pitch at a Pirates game.  Without CORE, she wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the past 25 years baking, playing softball, or spending time with her family.  

A Memorial Mass will be held on January 3, 2022, at 10:30 am in Holy Angels Church (Hays), Blessed Trinty Parish. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc.
