Carole S. Martin

It is with profound sadness that the family of Carole Sisson Martin announces her peaceful passing on September 21, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in Pittsburgh on September 17, 1937 to Lehman and Virginia Sisson, Carole was a devoted mother, dedicated church volunteer, and a kind spirit to all who knew her.

Carole graduated from Homestead High School in 1955 and went on to an executive administrative role at Armco Steel. She then spent the later years of her career in the dental industry. She later married William H. Martin, Jr. on September 27, 1958. She was a passionate baker and candy maker and found immense joy in being involved with her church, Homeville Christian in West Mifflin.

Her greatest role, however, was that of a mother to her beloved children David, Jeffrey (and his wife Melissa) and Timothy (and his wife Christina). She is also survived by her husband Bill, brother James Sisson, and grandchildren Alex, Mackenzie and Joshua Martin.

A viewing/memorial service to celebrate Carole’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8pm at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394) where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednseday, September 24, 2025 at 10am with Pastor Shaun Mitchell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to the Homeville Christian Church Missions Program 4702 Eliza Street, West Mifflin, PA  15122. Her kindness, strength, and loving nature will be deeply missed.
