Carole Smith

67, a long time resident of Towamencin Twp., formerly of Munhall, on March 7, 2010, in Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Homestead, PA, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Virginia M. (Davis) Smith. A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Carole had a career as a graphic arts editor working for Chilton Publishing in Radnor, until retiring. She enjoyed traveling, which she did extensively with friends and family. Surviving are two cousins, Karen Gamret and her husband, David, of Ypsilanti, MI and Dr. Andrea Jackman and her husband, Stephen, of Stoneridge, VA and a number of close friends. Friends received Friday from 10 to 11 AM at GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3511 Main St., Munhall (a selected Golden Rule Member) 412-461-6394 where service will be on Friday 11 A.M. with Rev. James Cannistraci officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Stray Cat Blues, Inc., P.O. Box 8, Colmar, PA 18915.
