A fantastic dad in every sense of the word, he lived his life with courage, humor, and unwavering strength. He was very funny, always ready with a story, quick wit, or perfectly timed comment that could light up a room and bring laughter to those around him. He was also incredibly hard‑working, valuing responsibility, perseverance, and always showing up for the people who mattered most.

Being a Marine was a defining part of who he was and a source of deep pride that he carried throughout his life. That same spirit of service continued throughout his career, as he retired from the City of Pittsburgh and proudly served his community as Constable of the 31st Ward.
He shared 51 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Debbie, building a life grounded in love, loyalty, and partnership.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Miller, Sr. and Thelma Creaturo, and by his sister, Patricia Miller.
He is survived by his children: Nicole (Andrew) Kennedy, Margaret (Maher) Al‑Shareef, and Charles E. Miller III (Matthew). He was an exceptionally proud grandfather to his fabulous grandchildren – Maureen, Megan, Rukeya, Ahlam, Ahdeem, Haleem, Safeia who were his joy and will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his grand dog, Owen, who brought him great happiness.
He had many friends, drawn to his warmth, humor, honesty, and steadfast nature. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Fenner (Jim), along with many extended family members and friends who were fortunate to know and love him.
