Charles W. "Chuck" Phares

Suddenly on Saturday, July 15, 2023, Charles Phares of West Mifflin passed away at the age of 72.  He was born in Pittsburgh; the son of the late Carl and Vivian (Songer) Phares.  Charles was the beloved husband of Maria (Molinar) Phares for over 52 years.  Cherished father of Carl, Elena, and Chuck (Kesha) Phares.  Special grandfather of Trevor Broman.  Brother of Bonnie Bowlin, Tim, Ronnie Phares and the late Kitty and Guy Phares.  Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.  He was a member of the Munhall/Whitaker VFW Post # 6673.  Charles had a passion for cooking and loved softball, which he played for over 30 years.  Family and friends received on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 2 - 4 & 6 - 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St., Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394) where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM.  Please share your memories and condolences at georgeigreenfuneralhome.com.
