Chase Cyphers, 20, of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, passed away on August 5, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle collision. Chase is the beloved son of Jon Scherling and Christa Cyphers. Chase is a true miracle to his mother, Christa, and loved beyond measure by his father, Jon from the moment he was conceived, he defied the odds. He was a spark of energy, quick to laugh, quick to help, quick to take life into his own hands. Chase could fix almost anything. A computer on the fritz, a stubborn engine, a broken piece of life’s machinery he knew his way around tools like they were an extension of himself. If it had a motor, he could make it roar. If it had wheels, he could make it fly. And somehow, almost every vehicle he ever owned lost its exhaust, because Chase had a way of making things sound alive (with a saws all, a rock, the battery from a dry vape and a piece of soggy wood from the back of a buddies truck he could get it to run). He was fearless, the kind of fearless that inspired others. Bonfire nights were brighter when he was there, the laughter louder because his main concern was to see people happy and laughing. He carried the freedom of the open road in his heart, the same passion his grandfather Gary once held. But more than anything, Chase carried love. Love for his family, love for his friends, and love for anyone lucky enough to know him. He protected all his younger cousins and friends, he was here for a lot of them when their own people weren't. He always rooted for the underdog, hung with some misfits and made sure they were ok. He took some of them in, literally because he loved his friends and family so much. He constantly cracked jokes with Uncle Rich and had laughs with Aunt Pricilla and the twins, he loved too many Mitchells to start being specific, gave all family a chance to know him both good and bad. He was a leader among his friends. He was close with a lot of the females in his family, always protecting like a Big Brother would, like Madyson and Jasmine. Riding buddies like Ben and Aiden were like little brothers to him along with Big Braydon and Ethan and Anthony and Lil Macky and Mason and Kenny the neighbor and the twins from the beginning of his street he grew up with I mean do I really have to keep typing names? I cannot, there are FAR FAR too many to type, he loved literally hundreds of people. He made friends so easily, so often, so many friends........... He was loved by too many people to count. And though his time here was far too short, his impact will be felt for a lifetime Chase is survived by his parents, Christa Cyphers and Jon Scherling, Girlfriend Bella, along with countless family members, friends, and colleagues who were inspired, uplifted, and changed by knowing him. "We couldn't possibly put the names and relationships of all the people who are hurting in this obituary as there are FAR too many to list. We have met a lot of Chases friends and we too are related to the family so we know the list is too long for something like this and we really didn't want to leave anyone out. We can say with 110% confidence if you are reading this you KNOW if he loved you or not and your name wouldn't have to appear here. We appreciate all the love and support ourselves and we thank each and every one of you. ~ Jon & Christa" In closing, it has been brought to our attention that we have possibly found Derrick from Duquesne, we reached out for comment but have not received a reply as of yet, IYKYK.................................. We Love You Son.......................... His family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 12 and 13, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall, Pennsylvania.
