Daniel Cunningham Jr.

Daniel, on Sunday December 29, 2013, age 82 of Pleasant Hills, peacefully joined the Lord.

Daniel was born and raised in Homestead, PA the son of Daniel J. And Margaret (Lacey) Cunningham, Sr.,  where many of his loved ones live today.

He graduated from Duquesne University ROTC program.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army and attained the rank of Capain.  While Daniel was stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Marianne Woller who he wed.

Dan went from laborer to retired general manager of the McKees Rocks Wheel and Axle Division of the US Steel Corp. He was a true Pittsburgh steel producer and a lifelong Steelers fan.

Daniel was a life member of the VFW Post 941 in West Mifflin and volunteered his time at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center and gave his time to those family members of need and comfort.  Daniel’s devotions were to that of his family.

Beloved husband of the late Marianne.

Cherished father of Daniel J. III (Claire), Martin (Angela), Patrick (Lisa) and Sean (Christine);.

By his loving photo display at home he was the special grandfather of Gregory, Laura, Morgan, Matthew, Michael, Katherine and Christopher who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Loving brother of Margaret (William) King and the late Mary Jane Evans.

Family and friends received Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St., Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394).  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday at 10 AM in St. Therese of Lisieux R. C. Church Munhall.
