Daniel LaRoche

Daniel “Beetle” LaRoche, 73, of Munhall, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pittsburgh on December 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Lou (Bossart) LaRoche. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Moser) LaRoche.

Beetle proudly served in the United States Navy and later worked as an aviation mechanic at Consol Energy, where he retired after a dedicated career. 

Beetle was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather who cherished time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Sharon, he is survived by his children Daniel Jr. (Teresa) LaRoche of Port Vue, PA; Michael (Kim Keller) LaRoche of Bulger, PA; Tara Vunak of Munhall, PA; and Mark (Emily) Vunak of Cape Coral, FL; his brother, Paul (Diane) LaRoche of Beeville, TX; his sister, Mary Jo (Brannon Denson) LaRoche of Munhall; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He dearly loved his grandchildren: Ian LaRoche, Savannah LaRoche, James “Jubby” Moneck, Lily Moneck, Vinny Moneck, Ariana Vunak, Liam Vunak, Lucas Vunak, and Charlotte Vunak.  Cherished Godfather of Caitlin Bowen and Billy Semk.

In addition to his parents, Beetle is preceded in death by his sister Sue Hreha and many wonderful aunts and uncles.

Family and friends will be received at George Irvin Green Funeral Home in Munhall, PA, Saturday June 20, 2026 from 2 to 8pm. A service will be held at 4pm with Pastor John Devey officiating.
