Deborah J. Bekavac went home with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 58. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Joan M. (Reis) Bekavac, Deborah was a bright and shining light to all whom knew her. She leaves behind her beloved brother, Thomas Bekavac, whom which she lived and was cared for by; along with her very treasured Aunt Carole O’Leska and Uncle C. Dale (Kathy) Reis. She also leaves behind a slew of cousins: Christine (Ron) Kalnas, Denise O’Leska, Joseph (Heidi) O’Leska, Megan (Mike) King, and Emma, Lila, & Vera King. Deborah is predeceased by her loving Grandparents Chester Dale and Ida Mae Reis, along with Aunt Judith Butler, and Uncles J. Douglas Butler, and Joseph O’Leska. Deborah was a proud graduate from Mon Valley Secondary School where she earned her Highschool Diploma. Deborah was truly devoted to serving her Lord and her community as a parishioner at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, and as a member at PA Connecting Communities, Not Forgotten Home and Community Services, ACHIEVA, and as an HAR (Humane Animal Rescue) volunteer for the Humane Society. She was also a much-valued employee at the Pizza Hut on Buttermilk Hollow and at the Century 3 Mall locations, both where she was a fixture. When she wasn’t volunteering or working, Deborah loved going out. Whether it be going out to lunch, to Kennywood, bowling, shopping, or dancing, she always wanted to flap her wings as the social butterfly she was. Deborah was a creative at heart, she loved fashion, listening to music, doing arts and crafts, and to participate in talent shows. But when she wasn’t out sand about, you could find her curled up watching a good movie, WWE Wrestling, or her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. Deborah was a friend to all whom will be deeply missed.
