Don Cook Jr.

Don L. Cook Jr, age 74, of Gibsonia passed away Saturday,  December19, 2015.  Born in Munhall, Don was a son of the late Ruth (Bayles) and Don L. Cook Sr.  He graduated from Munhall High School and Grove City College, where he met his wife, Carolyn (Pucci).  Don and Carolyn enjoyed 48 happy years of marriage, living all around the United States during his 43 year career with US Steel.  They returned to Pittsburgh in
1998.

Don was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, coworker, and golf partner.  He was best known for his loyalty, honesty, and storytelling.  Don avidly enjoyed playing golf with friends around the country.  His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

He leaves behind his wife, Carolyn; his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Beth Cook of Wellesley, MA; his daughter and son-in-law, Traceeand David Saslowsky of Potomac, MD; his four granddaughters, Alice and Louisa Cook and Charlotte and Vivian Saslowsky.  He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Gretchen (Diener) Cook of Mishawaka, IN and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Don's life by joining his family for visiting hours at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc.  3511 Main Street, Munhall on Sunday, December 27th from 4-8 pm and on Monday, December 28th for a funeral service at 11 am at Homestead Park United Methodist Church, 4231 Shady Avenue, Munhall.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Don may be made to the ALS Association.  Please share your memories and condolences at georgeigreenfuneralhome.com.
