Donald M. Cannon

Donald M. "Butchie" Cannon passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.  He was born in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late Donald J. and Mary C. (Traficante) Cannon.  Loving father of Cassie Cannon.  Special brother of Karen (Dan) Garofalo and Samuel (Elaine) Cannon.  Uncle to Kaitlynn (Tyson) Klukan, Andrew Garofalo, Daniel Garofalo, Dylan Cannon, and Jacob Cannon.  Butchie is also survived by many cousins, and was a great uncle to Naomi & Nellie.

Butchie worked for AGH Forbes as a Sterile Processing Technician.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran as a paratrooper for the 82nd  Airborne Division and for the 2nd, 19th SFG (Airborne) out of Camp Dawson, West Virginia.  Butchie liked to ride his motorcycle and to hunt. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  

There will be no visitation.  He will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  (Date and time will be posted on the website at a later date).  Arrangements entrusted to the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. in Munhall.
