Donald Rider

Donald J. Rider, age 80 of West Mifflin, died peacefully on Dec. 12, 2013 beside his one and only true and forever love, his wife of 63 years Joan (Redpath).

Don was a retired RR engineer for National Tube and a proud U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.

Beloved father of Mark (Darlene) and Craig (Teresa);

Adored “Pop-Pop” of Luke (Melissa), Mark (Stephen), Laura (Binks) Stanley, Julie (Ben), Kirk (Courtney), and Jacob (Andrea).

Loving Great “Pop-Pop” of Logan, Jovie and Jace;

Brother of Wendy and Duane.

Brother in law of Carol (P-Nuts) Howell and Gary Redpath;

Preceded in death by his parents Stanley and elsie (arthur) Rider, sister Dolores and brothers  Ronald and James;

Don was the embodiment of a gentleman, who loved his family, God, and country and showed us all, alomg with his beloved Joan, that true and abiding love really does exist.  We will love and miss him forever.

Friends received Sunday from 1 – 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Fuenral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394) where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 12:00 PM with Rev. David Shively officiating.
