Duane G. Schulte, a dedicated public servant and cherished family man, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, at the age of 73. Born on March 16, 1952, in Homestead, Pennsylvania, Duane's life was marked by his steadfast commitment to his community and his love for family, friends, and the many hobbies that brought him joy.

Duane enjoyed a remarkable career with the U.S. Postal Service, where he served for 30 years and retired as the Post Office Officer in Charge from the East Pittsburgh Post Office. His professional journey was complemented by his academic achievements; he was a proud graduate of Homestead High School and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, along with a certificate in teaching.

His involvement extended to the Enterprise Zone (Accelerator), as well as volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, reflecting his desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Duane's passions outside of work included being an avid Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan, holding season tickets for many years. He was also a devoted member of the Train Collectors Association, where he served as the news director and photographer. His interests extended to the Coin Club of West Mifflin, the Senior Social Club of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, and membership in the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE).

Family meant the world to Duane. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret "Peggy" Schulte (Walker), his beloved German shepherd, Max, as well as his sister-in-law, Judy (John) Andzelik. He leaves behind various cousins from the Bevan, McLane, and McComb families, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will remember him fondly.
