Edward W. Asbury

Edward W. Asbury (Buck) passed away on Wednesday on February 5, 2025 at the age of 87. 

Born in Homestead PA to late parents Edward W. and Winifred (Kemp) Asbury and late sister Grace (Bill) Schuetz. 

Buck is survived by his devoted and loving wife Alberta M. Asbury (Deverson) of 62 years, son Ed (Beth), son Keith, daughter Dana, granddaughter's Hannah, Amanda, and Faith, and eight nieces and nephews.

 Buck was a Veteran of the United States Army and "Seebees" Naval Reserves of 30-years and he was very proud of his service. Buck was a welder by trade and worked at various mills and shops throughout his career. Buck was a member of the American Legion Post #380 in Dravosburg PA for 37-years. He also enjoyed a bit of fishing from time to time and had a way of making people laugh. A private man at times, Buck had a heart of gold. Buck will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and acquaintances.

Family and friends received Monday, February 10, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 412-4616394; where a Blessing Service will take place at 7 PM with Sem. Xavier Engle officiating. An AARP Service will take place at the funeral home at 3 PM on Monday and an American Legion service will take place on Monday at a time to be determined. Edward will be laid to rest with full millitary honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA, on Tuesday, Febrauary 11, at 10 AM.
