Edward C. Hayward

Edward Hayward, age 95, of Munhall, was born on May 17, 1929. He passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Kolish), loving dad to Susan (late Carmen) Marini, Edward (Mariellen), Richard, and Cynthia (Russ) Geyser. Proud Pap Pap to Christian (Dawn) Marini, Amanda (Erik) Olson, Justin (Kirsten) Chobajian, Eric Hayward, and the late Lance Hayward. He was great-grandpap to Ryan, Ewan, Luca, Camden, Raegan, and one on the way. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ed worked at U.S. Steel Homestead Works, where he retired in 1984 when the mill closed. 

He loved his family, babies and animals. He loved shooting pool at the Thompson Club in West Mifflin, where he was known as "The Legend" and you could usually find him there on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Loved watching wrestling, the Price is Right, Family Feud and doing his Sudoku puzzles.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, where a Blessing Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
