Edward W. Pfeiffer

Age 92, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 29, 2023 (Memorial Day). Devoted husband of 63 years to the love of his life Barbara (Byrnes) Pfeiffer.  Loving father to Lynne (Arthur) Gobbie, Laurie Andres (James) Westover, and David (fiancé Tara Boyer) Pfeiffer.  Adoring Pap to Nicole Andres (Josh) Sabo, Nicholas (Ashley) Gobbie, Daniel (Kelsey) Andres, and Matthew Gobbie. Cherished Great-Pap to Amelia Jeann, Madeline Lou, and Cameron Daniel.  Beloved son of the late Edward and Verna Kurtz Pfeiffer, and loving brother to the late Dorothy Pfeiffer Wendt.  Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Ed was the owner of Kennywood Auto Sales where he spent the past 32 years with his son and best buddy, David.  He attended Homestead High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Ed was an avid boater and fisherman who spent many years waterskiing, cross country skiing, riding motorcycles, bicycles, and snowmobiles, and vacationing with his family.  Ed was an enthusiastic, positive, kind, charming, and sweet soul with a strong character who loved to dance with his “bride”, spend time with his family, and make people laugh. He brought joy to everyone who knew him.  Ed served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the Rotary Club. 

Family and friends are welcome on Thursday, June 1, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at George I. Green Funeral Home Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Friday, June 2,  at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish – St. Therese Worship Site.
