Elaine Marie Rager

Elaine Marie Rager, 60, of Munhall, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on June 18, 2026.

Born on December 8, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Elaine lived a life defined by kindness, faith, and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Helene Rager of West Homestead, and her brother, Rev. Father Patrick Rager.

Elaine is survived by her loving sister, Doreen Kasich of Munhall; her former husband, Timothy Hofmeister; and her three sons, Timothy Patrick Rager (Alicia Rager) of Munhall, Brandon Thomas Hofmeister of South Fayette, and Casey Steven Hofmeister of Munhall.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Megan Rager, Layla Rager, Hayley Rager, Timothy Rager Jr., and Patrick Rager, children of Timothy and Alicia Rager; Owen Hofmeister and Nina Hofmeister, children of Brandon Hofmeister; and Madalyn Hofmeister, daughter of Casey Hofmeister. Each of her grandchildren brought immense joy and meaning to her life.

She was also a beloved aunt to her sister's children.

Elaine dedicated nearly four decades of her professional life to the legal field, working as a paralegal since 1987. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Summit Legal Aid, where she continued her lifelong commitment to helping others. She was respected for her diligence, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she served. Outside of her career, Elaine had a lifelong love of horses and found joy in helping those around her, often putting the needs of others before her own.

A devout Catholic throughout her life, Elaine's faith served as a guiding force and source of strength. She will be remembered for her bubbly personality, infectious smile, generous heart, and unwavering love for her family. Above all, Elaine was a devoted mother to her three sons, whose lives and accomplishments brought her tremendous pride and joy. More than anything, Elaine cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Being their grandmother was one of her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Elaine's legacy of kindness, faith, and love will continue to live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 412-461-6394.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Elaine's life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. Therese Church, 1 St Therese Ct, Munhall. Family and friends are invited to attend and join in honoring her memory and celebrating the faith that guided her throughout her life.
