On January 6, 2017, age 87 of Munhall.

Beloved wife of the late Richard H. "Dick" Dell; loving mother of Richard G. (Anne) Dell, Linda J. Dell, Margaret L. (Joshua) Havens and Betty Dell  (Paul) Stockhausen; cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Alexander, Christopher and Jessica; great-grandmother of Rosalind and special angel, Elizabeth. Close friend and dear companion of over 10 years to Richard Scott; and best friend to Charlene Pearson.  Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses of UPMC Mercy Hospital, trauma and burn ICU unit and the 11th floor, for their care, attention and compassion during Betty's stay at the hospital.

Betty was the lead singer on the Betty Dugan's Juvenile Roundup which was first of it's kind in the 1930s on KDKA radio.

Retired employee of the Steel Valley School District

Lifelong member of the Homestead Park United Methodist Church

Betty gave back to the community by serving in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mon Valley Chapter of the U.S. Merchant Marines, Friends of the Library, Friends of the Carnegie Music Hall and other associations and organizations that her late husband participation in.

Betty Jean always ensured the home on John Street was welcoming and open to family and friends any time of day or night; no one was a stranger once they passed through the door! Anyone who was a part of them will never forget the lively new years eve parties or the countless basement parties her kids held - for each event she would cook and bake things, never for less then the equivalent capacity of Heinz Field , so no one left hungry.

Friends received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall Pa 15120 412-461-6394 where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Erwin Kerr officiating
