Esther McCallum, a beloved mother, grandmother, and homemaker, was born on May 7, 1951, and passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025. She had a rich life, characterized by her devotion to her family and her passion for gardening, where her love for flowers—especially lilies—shone through. Esther had a fondness for sweets and enjoyed sipping her iced coffee while relishing her favorite reality TV shows or listening to country music.
As one of thirteen children, Esther brought a vibrant spirit to her large family, which included her cherished twin sister, Ethel Matsko, and her brothers Jack, Allan (Janie), Martin (Margaret), and David "Duffy." She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William McCallum, who was called to his heavenly home just 11 days before her, where they are now reunited at last. Esther is also preceeded in death by brothers Leonard "Lenny" and Emanuel "Manny," as well as her sisters Beryl, Freida, Eva, Beverly, and Marlene.
Esther’s legacy is enriched by her love for her family. She is survived by her son, Matthew McCallum, and daughter, Shannon (PJ) McClelland. Her devotion to her grandchildren, Jake, Lukas, Ryan, and Dominic, marked her as the best grandma, a title she wore with pride. In addition, she also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth and kindness.
