Frank Novotny

On Dec. 1, 2017 age 85 of West Mifflin;

Frank was born in Homestead the son of the late John and Mary (Mikulla) Novotny;

Loving husband of the late Charlotte (Kampe) and Evelyn (Sowko)

Beloved father of Dr. Joy Anne (David) Steel of Keswick Virginia, Dr. Diane R. Lancaster of Hull, Massachusetts and Charlotte “Penney”(Thomas) Casey of Middletown Delaware;

Brother of John Novotny of Simpsonville, SC and Mary Ann (Victor) of California. And the late Pauline Neiding, James Neiding, and sister in law Agnes Novotny.

Survived by his second wife’s children Michael Kovach of Danville, PA. and Paul Kovach of Cummings, GA. and daughter in law Mary Kovach of FL, (Thomas) deceased.

Also many nieces and nephews;

Frank was a parishioner of Resurrection Church in West Mifflin, Secretary of the First Catholic Slovak Union, Founder and Sec. of the A.V. Stock Investment Club, Member of the Slavs Club in Braddock and the American Legion Post 714;

He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a retired circulation manager of the Pittsburgh Press for 45 years

Friends received on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120 (412-461-6394).  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at 10AM in Resurrection Church, West Mifflin.
