Frederick C Hobbins, age 97 of Munhall, Pa passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday October 20, 2023. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Charles Hobbins and late Allene Cox Hobbins Kunselman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Nancy Stiver Hobbins, son Thomas Hobbins, grandson Patrick Morsek and son in law Henry Cortinovis. Loving father of Christine Cortinovis and Suzanne(Thomas) Morsek; cherished grandfather of Douglas Cortinovis, Jonathan(Lisa) Cortinovis and Maureen Morsek; special great-grandfather to Addyson and Cecelia Cortinovis.
Freddie served in the United States Army during WWII in Europe and Germany. After his discharge, he worked for Allegheny County at Greater Pittsburgh Airport and later Greater Pittsburgh International Airport until his retirement from the County. He then accepted a position with US Air and remained there until his retirement in 1990.
Always interested in anything mechanical, Freddie spent many years repairing appliances for friends and family. He also loved going to Steeler games in the seventies, restoring vintage cars and going to flee markets with his cousin Roger(Pooch) Jamison. He and Nancy relished their winter visits to (their home in Florida) and visiting to see family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday , October 24, 2023 from 6 - 8 pm and Wednesday October 25 from 10-12am with a Noon service to follow at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394
