Gerald John Berger

Gerald J. Berger born November 9, 1947 and passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.  

Gerald was born in Pittsburgh the son of the late John and Elizabeth Berger.  He leaves behind his two sons David (Lisa) and Gary and his wife Melanie Berger, his brother Charlie Berger and his his grandchildren Leah and Derek who he absolutely cherished.  Preceded in death by his brothers Denny and Ronald.  

Gerald was a avid Pittsburgh sports and wrestling fan (especially the Pittsburgh Pirates), loved all types of music and working in his garden.  He bowled in weekly leagues at Playmor and Coral Lanes.  Gerald was a member of the Homestead Owl's Club and the ARND Club.  He was a graduate of Allderdice High School, an ironworker for U.S. Steel Corp. and retired as a machinist for Linett/Triarc Corp.  

Family and friends received on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 5 - 8pm at the George Irvin green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA  15120 (412-461-6394) where a Blessing Service will be held that evening at 8:00pm
