Gertrude O'Brien

On September 14, 2021, Bettie age 101, of West Mifflin went home to her Lord and Savior.  Bettie was born in Braddock; the daughter of the late Michael and Leona (Dolan) Davis.  Beloved wife of the late Francis O'Brien.  Loving mother of Cassandra (the late William) Summerly.  Cherished grandmother of Stacey Jane (Tim) Morrison and Erin Beth (Jason) Coffman.  Adoring great-grandmother of Ryan Morrison, Tyler Morrison and Caitlyn Coffman.  Also many special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Zang, Mary Capuano, twin sister Jane Voit and Dolores Welsh.    Bettie was proud of her Irish Heritage.  She was the past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.  Bettie had a passion for reading, playing cards, shopping, volunteer work and baking.  Her family would like to thank Family Hospice and Palliative Care for the exceptional care that Bettie received while she was there.  Family and friends received on Friday September 17, 2021 from 3 to 8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120 ( 412-461-6394 ).  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday September 18, 2021 at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, St. Therese Worship Site at 10 AM with Rev.
