Helen Blackwell

Helen M. (Matta) Blackwell age 90, of Whitaker, died peacefully Friday, August 25, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Blackwell for 61 years. Loving mother to Sandra L. (Richard) Baksis, Thomas G. (Therese), Wayne D. (Diane), Robert K. (Susan) and William R. (Maureen) Blackwell; Grandmother of eleven; Great-grandmother of four; Also, many nieces and nephews; She was an active member of Whitaker United Methodist church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Helen loved gardening and was an member of the Garden Club of Munhall. She was an member of Whitaker Fire Ladies Auxiliary; former Cub Scout Den Mother; Past Oracle of Royal Neighbor. Friends received on  Monday  from  2-4 and 6-9 P.M. at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall Pa 15120 412-461-6394 where a funeral service will be held on  Tuesday  at 11:30A.M in Whitaker United Methodist Church.
