Helen P. Bodrock (Proden)

Helen Bodrock, of Monongahela, formerly of Munhall, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 7, 2022 at the age of 94.  She was born in Stonemine, West Virginia; the daughter of the late George and Mary (Demko) Proden. She shared 68 loving years with beloved husband Michael “Mike” Bodrock who passed on in 2018.  

Everyone who met Helen loved her dearly and will never forget her strength and tenacity, her quick wit, beautiful smile, and undying love for her church and her family. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms with plenty of good conversation and laughter along with her famously delicious home-cooked meals and desserts. Around her table was everyone’s favorite place to be. She was a long-time member of St. Michael’s Church in McKeesport where she and her late husband, Mike, devoted many hours to preparations for festivities and church services. She was truly a one-in-a-million who will be missed by many, near and far. 

Helen is survived by her children Jane Turoczy, Michael (Karen) Bodrock, Jr., John Eric (Regina) Bodrock; grandchildren Josh (Dana) Turoczy, Travis Bodrock; great-grandchildren Chandler (Taryn) Turoczy, Maci Leigh Turoczy, and great, great-grandson Jackson Tyler Turoczy. She is preceded in death by grandson Tayler Turoczy. 

Family and friends received on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 2 - 4 PM & 6 - 8 PM in the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394), where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Fr.
