Helen Braszo

Helen E. Braszo (Simko), age 95 of Largo, Florida. Previously of Duquesne and Munhall, Pennsylvania. Beloved wife for 61 years of the late Clement Braszo;  loving mother of John (Lori) Braszo of Pittsburgh, Carol Creighton of Laguna Vista, Texas; Joan (David) Simon of Largo, Florida and the late Diane Brannen. Sister of Marianne Sokol of Bowie, Maryland. Cherished grandmother of Tori Creighton and Abigail (Jared) Creighton Blue.  Loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Anna (Relko) Simko and  brother Joseph Simko. Helen was a proud graduate of the Braddock General Hospital School of Nursing class of 1947, which prepared her for a rewarding four decades in the profession. She worked at Montefiore and Mercy hospitals before ultimately retiring after a long career with the Highland Drive Veterans Administration Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc., Main St., Munhall, PA. Divine Liturgy will be on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cathedral, Munhall, PA.
