Helen Leskanic

Helen Regina (Eckbreth) Leskanic

Helen was taken from this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on May 27, 2020, age 87, of Munhall. Helen was the daughter of the late Clifford and Margaret (Nolan) Eckbreth.

Loving mother of Darlene (John) Koroly of Munhall, Larry (Tracy) Leskanic of FL and Curtis (Susan) Leskanic of FL;

Cherished grammy of Kerri (Jon) Nevills, Nick Koroly (Bryann Morgan), Brandon Leskanic, Chandler, Luke, Seth, Grace, Chloe and Hope Leskanic;

"G" loved spending time with her great-grandson, Jaxon Nevills; He kept her young.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Leskanic. Also proceeded in death by her brother William (Elaine survives) Eckbreth and brother-in-law Jack (Theresa survives) Leskanic.

Helen lived a long and memorable life. Some people knew her as a hairdresser, a short order cook at Falce's, as "the woman that never aged", spunky old Helen, the Hot Foods worker at Giant Eagle (where she worked after retirement because she needed something to do), an 87 year old playing hide and seek and dancing with her 3.5 year old great grandson, or "G" and Grammy.

Her family is following her wishes of all services to be private.

Helen always helped people in need and also donated to fire, police, and other charities.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Helen's memory to the Munhall Volunteer Fire Department 5, 1817 Whitaker Way, Homestead, PA 15120 (Attention: Chief Dave Smoley), Rabbit Wranglers, PO Box 8003 Pittsburgh, PA 15216 or to your local fire department, animal rescue, or charity in her memory. The Leskanic Family Thanks You.

Romans 14:8 We live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.
So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
