Herbert G. Crawford, of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Munhall passed away on September 18, 2025 surrounded by his family. Herb was born in Homestead; the son of the late Herbert W. and Gail (Donaldson) Crawford. Beloved husband of Carol (Rusnak) Crawford. Cherished father of Douglas (Michele) Crawford and David (Christine) Crawford. Loving "Pap" of Sydney (Dylan Goodwin) Crawford and Jordan Crawford. Special great grandfather of Oliver Goodwin. Brother of Wayne (Julie) Crawford, Carol Clemens, and the late Charles Crawford and Marian McKay.
Herb started his teaching career at the Hampton School District, then he spent a time with Steel Valley High School and retired a principal from the Armstrong School District. After his retirement he was an Adjunct Professor at Carlow University. Herb was very active in his church family at Holy Angels R. C. Church in Hays, where he was an eucharist minister, lector, president of church council, was on the social committee, financial committee, and a worker at the fish fry. He carried this over when he moved and switched churches to St. Thomas A' Becket, where he was a eucharist minister to the people at the Pleasant Hills Apartments. In his younger years, he was an active fireman for Munhall Volunteer Fire Company #4. He was also a wrestling coach for Hampton and Steel Valley High Schools. Herb liked to watch golf on television but his favorite thing to do to was spend time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
