Herman Charles Claypoole, born on May 28, 1963, in Kittanning, departed this life peacefully at home on October 31, 2025. He was a cherished husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and caring brother whose impact on his family and community will forever be remembered.
Herman shared 33 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Carol (Jones) Claypoole. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love.
He leaves behind a proud legacy through his children: son Doug (Jennifer) Qilliams, and daughters Elizabeth (Alex) Ford, and Rose Slancauskas. The pride he took in fatherhood blossomed even further with the births of his five beloved grandchildren: Harmony, Caden, Waylon, Katherine, and Kellen. Each of them brought joy and light into his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Herman’s spirit will also be carried on by his sister, Sheri Claypoole, and his father, Herman Leroy Claypoole. He was a constant source of strength and inspiration to his family, providing love and guidance to all who knew him.
In addition to his rich family ties, Herman's impact is felt deeply in the hearts of those closest to him, including friends and community members who were touched by his kindness and generosity. He was predeceased by his mother, Violet (Lytle) Claypoole, whose memory continues to guide the family, and grandson Ethan Jude, whose loss is profoundly felt.
