Howard William Snelgrow, Jr.

Howard W. "Howdy" Snelgrow, Jr., of Lincoln Place, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the age of 86.  Howdy was born in Bloomfield the son of the late Howard W. and Genevieve (Gosiewski) Snelgrow, Sr.   Beloved husband of 62 years to Donna Jean (Farrell) Snelgrow.  Cherished father of Daniel W. (Penny) Snelgrow, Michael F. (Lisa) Snelgrow and Daniele M. (Sean) Halbleib.  Special grandfather to Daniel W. (Berkley) Snelgrow, Jr., Nicole M. (Ignacio) Snelgrow , Jessica A. (David) Snelgrow, Kelsey Snelgrow and Deja Freeman.  Loving great grandfather of Tripp, Halsey, Lorenzo, Hailey and Zayne.  Brother of Patricia (the late Robert) Huemme, Lorraine (John) Tomalewski, Debbie (Patrick) Wolf, and the late Kathleen Christian and Donna (Ernest survives) Graham.  

Howard was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He retired with 39 years of service from J&L Steel - LTV Steel in Hazelwood.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, liked to be a jokester, Howdy was a member of Omni Lodge #509 F&AM, but most of all loved to spend time with family and friends.
