Irene Gyongyosy

On August 30, 2021, Irene Gyongyosy, age 92, lifelong resident of West Homestead and lifelong member of the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead.  Irene was a retired secretary for Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad with 32 years of service.  Beloved aunt to Elaine (Gene) Saus, Jerome McKinney, Donald (Daryl) McKinney and Gail Chase.  Great-Aunt to numerous great- nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. Preceded in death by her siblings Margaret McKinney, Helen Pace, Joseph Jonosy and Zoly Gyongyosy.  Family and friends received Friday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8PM  at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall, 15120 ( 412-461-6394 ).  Funeral Service will be on Saturday at 11:00AM in the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead followed by a Committal Service at the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead Cemetery, Munhall.  In lieu of flowers Irene's family requests donations be made to her church the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead, 416 E. 10th Avenue, Munhall, PA  15120.  Please share your memories and condolences at georgeigreenfuneralhome.com.
