James Richards

James Richard, 78, of West Mifflin, known to family and friends as Jim, was called home on January 20, 2026 to be reunited with the love of his life, Sherry Richards and his son Ronald Richards. He is survived by his oldest son David Richards, 55, of Munhall, and sisters, Betty Moore and Lualla Gill. Survived by sister-in-law, Myrna Bandik, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Minnie, and his grandbabies, Diva and Dusty. He also had four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

James was a lifetime member of the Homeville Christian Church, and a lifetime Homeville Volunteer Fire Department fireman. He retired from Motor Coils in Braddock, where he was an armature winder, and from Giant Eagle in Edgewood Town Center. The one thing Jim always held strong to was his faith and it comes as a comfort to know he is in God‘s arms and will now be able to live forever, pain-free stress-free, and able to give back in love just as he did on earth. Jim, along with his wife Sherry, loved Pymatuming Lake, where he could fish relax and just enjoy sitting around with his nephew, Bobby and his sister-in-law, Myrna. He also enjoyed going out to dinner with his niece, Peggy, and her husband, Mike. He was truly be missed

Family and friends received on Thursday, January 22 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 412-461-6394. A Funeral Service will be held the following morning, Friday, January 23, at 11 AM at Homeville Christian Church with Pastor Shaun Mitchell officiating.
