Jane Brookshire

Jane Justus Brookshire of Duquesne, Pa, born February 17, 1939 in Newport, TN, died January 19, 2016.  She is survived by her husband, Don Brookshire, of fifty seven years and son Robert (Kristine) of Duquesne, an daughter Betty Ann of Del Rio, TN and brother James Justus of Bloomington IN.  Jane graduated from Cocke County High School, Newport, TN, and Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN.  Jane teamed with her husband Don in ministry, serving as organist and choir direcdtor of Homeville Christian Church, West Mifflin, Pa, for thirty five years while also serving as hostess of numerous guest speakers and music groups. In 1995 Jane and Don received the Distinguished Service Award from Johnson Bible College.  The joy of travel took her to all fifty states and several foreign countries.  In retirement, she served as music coordinator of Penn Township Christian Church, Harrison City, Pa.  Friends received on Thursday from 2-9 P.M. at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home Inc. 3511 Main St. Munhall 412-461-6394 where a funeral service will take place on Friday at 11 A.M.
