Janet E. Toboz

Janet Elizabeth Toboz, age 77,unexpectedly passed away April 8, 2023, at her home in Munhall. She was the daughter of Stephen Jr. and Elizabeth (Gatzy) Toboz. She was a very devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Throughout her life she loved attending craft shows, enjoying holiday and traditional ethnic foods, decorating her house with thematic Christmas trees every holiday, visiting with family and friends, going shopping and learning how to play the piano. Her favorite music was from the musical The Phantom of The Opera and she had an extensive collection of nutcrackers and stuffed animals. Above all else, she was a devoted fan to the Pittsburgh Penguins; she made sure to watch every single one of the games on television and knew each player by their name and jersey number, along with the coaching staff.

Janet is survived by many loving cousins: Sandra (Revesz) Ardale and Family, Thomas Revesz and Family, Phyllis (Toboz) Bartek and Family, Carole Lynn (Gatzy) Jones and Family, Sharon Gatzy, Dennis Toboz and Family, Donna (Toboz) Foradas and Family, Linda Toboz, Robert A. Toboz and Family, Robert B. Toboz (Butch), Stephen J. Toboz and Family.

Not only will Janet be missed by her family, but also by her beloved neighbors, Lynn and Carl (or as Janet affectionately referred to them as Mom and Dad); they both truly helped her on many occasions, which will never be forgotten.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, 15120, (412)461-6394). A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, April 13, at 11:00 AM in Messiah Lutheran Church, 4300 Main Street, Munhall, 15120. Following the service Janet will be laid to rest in Homestead Cemetery.
