Jeffrey Louis Fite

Jeff passed away at his home on Friday, September 8. Born on December 26, 1954 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the husband of Kathy Fite (Stopchuck) and loving father to Sara (Tom Grindel) Fite and Jeff (Cindy) Fite. Pappy to Alyse and Cooper Phares and Jeffrey Fite. Son of Donna (Marraccini) Beam and the late John “Jason” Fite, and stepson to the late Russell Beam. Preceded in death by his younger brother, Wayne Fite, and survived by his older brother, Jack (Grace) Fite. He was nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Jeff was a retired Schwabel’s delivery driver and most recently was employed as a school bus driver. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their camps in Tionesta, PA. He was an active member of the Lincoln Place VFW, and could be found behind the grill every Memorial Day serving up hot dogs. If you needed Jeff on a Tuesday, you could find him out on the golf course with his crew. He loved all things Pittsburgh and was a true hometown sportsfan. His only granddaughter, his “Bebe”, was the apple of his eye, and as a former Lincoln Place baseball player, Jeff enjoyed watching his grandsons continue on in his path. Family was important to Jeff and nothing brought him more joy than watching his children and grandchildren grow up and succeed.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, September 13, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall 15120, ((412) 461-6394).  A Blessing Service will be held the following day, Thursday, September 14, at 11:00 AM.
