Joan Rider

Age 82 of West Mifflin, died on March 19, 2015 and is now wrapped in the loving arms of her one and only true love Don.  Theirs was a lifelong love story.  Their devotion to one another was a beautiful example for us all.

Joan was born in Homestead the daughter of the late Kenneth and Almira (Smith) Redpath;

Joan was a longtime member of Homeville Christian Church and a retired school crossing guard for the West Mifflin School District;

Beloved wife of the late Donald J. Rider;

Cherished mother of Mark (Darlene) and Craig (Teresa);

Loving grandmother of Luke (Melissa), Mark (Stephen), Laura (Binks) Stanley, Julie (Ben), Jacob (Andrea) and Kirk (Courtney);

Special great – grandmother to Logan, Jovie, Jace and Ryder;

Sister to Carol (P-Nuts) Howell and Gary Redpath;

Also many nieces and nephews;

Joan was beautiful, strong and fiesty and her spirit will live on in all of us.  We will love and miss her forever.
