Joanne E. Kelly

Joanne Elizabeth (Letchford) Kelly, 92, of West Mifflin, died Friday, December 20, 2024. She was born April 7, 1932, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Edward A. and Johanna T. Delehanty Letchford. She was a retired Registered Nurse, originally graduating from McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She was especially proud of her lengthy career caring for patients including newborns in the McKeesport Hospital maternity ward, and seniors and others at Jefferson Hills Manor and the Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Joanne loved her family very much. She is survived by her brother Bobby (Susan) Letchford, sons Daniel (Donna), of Beverly, WV, Michael (Suzanne), of Calabash, NC, Patrick (Sandra Lopez) of Boynton Beach, FL, R. Scott (Joanne), of Seminole, FL, and Christopher, of West Mifflin; grandchildren Matthew (Christina) Kelly, Danielle (Jonathan) Curry and Laura Kelly; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Colby, Jayden, and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles, brothers Jerry, Thomas, David, and great grandson dear Baby Logan, and is joining them all in eternal peace.

As Joanne requested, there will be no viewing, and all services will be handled privately. She will be laid to rest by her family at the Lebanon Church Cemetery Mausoleum in West Mifflin, overlooking Allegheny County Airport.  Arrangements entrusted to the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc.
