Jody Wayne Henderson passed away unexpectedly in Washington, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Jody was born on May 14, 1960, in Washington, Pennsylvania and was raised by his parents David Wayne Henderson and Donna Lee Henderson (Masters) alongside two sisters (Sherri and Kristi). He graduated from Trinity High School in Washington, PA and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

He met his wife, Tami Esken, in 1978, and they were married on September 17, 1988, in Mount Lebanon, PA. Jody had three children, Andrew Sadley, Zachary Henderson, and Sydney Vick (Henderson). He spent most of his adult life in Houston working in various positions in the oil and gas industry and had short stints in New York City and San Francisco. He worked for many different companies including Lubrizol, Pennzoil, Texaco, Citgo, and IPAC. He was a dedicated coworker who formed so many relationships during his career and retired in 2024.

During his life, Jody enjoyed vacationing, going to see movies and enjoying nice dinners. He was a caring husband and father who always put family, friends, and work colleagues ahead of himself. He was always the helping hand to anyone in need and always at the side of the people he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Wayne (2007), sister, Kristi (2021), and wife, Tami (2023). He is survived by his daughter Sydney Vick, son-in-law Kris Vick, and granddaughter Brixley of Conroe, TX, Dr. Zachary Henderson, his wife Manara Jalil Henderson, and twin grandsons Ramsey and Cyrus Henderson of New York, NY and Andrew Sadley, his wife Jordan Sadley, and grandson Jack Sadley of Ellwood City, PA. He is also survived by his mother Donna Lee, sister Sherri Swart, niece Ashley Swart of Washington, PA, and nephews Nicholas Bianchi of Canton, OH and Shane Bianchi of Parma, OH.

Family and friends received at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc, 3511 Main St, Munhall, 15120, on Tuesday, January 13, from 2-4PM & 6-8PM where a Blessing Service will take place the following morning, Wednesday, January 14, at 10 AM with Deacon Ron Bemblowski officiating.
