John Metro Kurtz, Sr.

John passed away on October 16, 2022 at the age of 85 in Yuma, Arizona formerly of West Mifflin.  He was born in West Mifflin the son of the late John and Mary (Ferrence) Kurtz.  He was the beloved husband of the late Melanie R. (Morris) Kurtz.  Cherished father of John M. (Rondora) Kurtz, William M. (Diane) Kurtz and the late Daniel J. Kurtz.  Loving grandfather of Sarah (Mike) King, Aimee (Joseph) Bolette, Jordan Marcovitz, and Allison & Matthew Kurtz.  Special step grandfather of Tayln (Ezra) Mo'o and Tihani Guzman.  Great grandfather of Lily Kurtz and AIden& Lindsey King.  Brother of Mary Evelyn (the late Dave) Steiner, Steven (Patricia) Kurtz and the late Thomas Kurtz.  John was the owner of his own construction business John Kurtz Construction.  He was a member of the Mifflin Club, Thompson Run Athletic Association, Homeville VFD Social Club and the Teutonia - Mannerhor Social Club in Duquesne.  He had a passion for game shows especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy but he most liked to spend time with his family.  Family and friends will be received at the George Irvin Green on Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 9:00AM till time of the service at 11:00AM.  Please share your memories and condolences at georgeigreenfuneralhome.com
